Hannoush Jewelers Capital District ABOUT HANNOUSH JEWELERS My father, Elias Hannoush, grew up overseas as the oldest of eight brothers and began an apprenticeship in the jewelry trade at a very young age. From very early in his career, my father’s commitment to excellence was evident in the fine goods that he produced. In time, each of his younger brothers would join him and master the art of making fine jewelry. The Hannoush family’s immigration to the United States in 1972 was followed by many years of hard work, dedication and sacrifice. Shortly after arriving to New England, the brothers established a niche for themselves in the jewelry industry by performing expert jewelry repair and diamond remounting for one of the nation’s largest chain jewelers. During this same period, after several attempts in other industries my father, Elias, returned to his passion and began creating his own fine jewelry with a desire to one day opening his own store. In August of 1984, with his wife and four young children by his side, my father realized his dream and opened his first jewelry store in Albany, NY. Ten years after his grand opening, given the community’s wonderful response to the quality of Hannoush goods and thoroughness of Hannoush customer care, Elias doubled the size of his store. In 1996, my brother, Albert, graduated from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), and is currently one of the Capital District’s only Graduate Gemologists. Additionally, several members of our friendly staff are graduates of GIA’s diamond grading course and manifest the same fundamental principles that have been the key to my family’s longevity in a very competitive industry: a passion for quality jewelry; an appreciation for each individual who enters our store; and, a commitment to seamless customer service. Today, joined by Albert and myself, my father tirelessly continues his legacy of creating quality jewelry and providing exceptional customer service from one of the Capital districts’ premier jewelry stores. Over the years, the Hannoush family has learned that there is a bond created when an individual buys a piece of our jewelry, and that this bond is based on trust. Each day that we go to work, we are focused on creating jewelry that we can be proud of calling Hannoush Jewelry and that our customers can be proud to give to their loved ones on their most special occasions.
