Oris Watches
has been making classically styled watches with
mechanical movements since 1904. Today Oris combined
traditional watch making techniques with modern micro
technology, by producing collectible pieces such as
the Big Crown Original with pointer calendar. In
addition, watch collectors around the globe are
snatching up the Big Crown BC3, the Big Crown
Commander Divers, and of course the classic Big
Crown Commander Divers Regulator.
Oris watches
embody the value of the watchmaker’s art with their
superior expression of high technology and the fine
traditions of Swiss horology. Founded in 1904 by
Paul Cattin and Georges Christian, Oris is based in
Holstein, Switzerland and markets five ranges of
precision time pieces, including chronographs, with
over 31 individual models. In 1968, Oris obtained a
full chronometer certification from the Neuchatel
Observatory, one of the highest forms of recognition
that exist for timepiece accuracy. Today Oris
watches span formal and dress watches to precision
instruments for use by divers, drivers, and pilots
alike. They combine the fascination of a
micro-mechanism heart with a stylish appearance.
Just turn your watch over to see the movement
through the display window; if you see a flash of
red, you've got the right watch, because at the
heart of every Oris beats a red rotor.
